Heel Spur - usually develops in patient with a prolong period of plantar fasciitis. The constant pull of untreated plantar fasciitis can lead to a growth of bone spur in the heel. Heel pain often diminishes upon the development of a heel spur, but a heel spur can often grow in an unwanted position leading to an increase in pain. Symptoms of heel spur are similar to plantar fasciitis except the pain is constant throughout. Treatments may involve proper footwear with medications, orthotics, cortisone injections, and surgeries.
